Hi Everyone,
What is the most flexible solid material that can be laser cut?
I’m making a connector for an ebike battery and acrylic maybe too brittle?
Many thanks for any advice

Rubber is the most flexible
Ah, maybe I meant durable because I need it to be fairly rigid, ideally like powertool plastic or as close as possible
If you’re after something that’s not brittle, wood would work (although isn’t waterproof by default). Or possibly a thin acrylic sheet might work?
I can prototype in wood but maybe the 3d printer would be better for the final product?
There are laserable plastics like Delrin.
Polypropylene
Delrin (aka acetal) cuts beautifully and is pretty tough. Only comes in black or ‘natural’ though.
Acetal is great, and I saw some on RS the other day that was blue!
Wow! Thanks guys
Colour isn’t an issue and I actually prefer black for my current project.
So I can try polypropylene and Delrin (acetal).
Do they need to be laser certified?
Is there any around that I can look at?
Both materials are ok for the cutter. Polypropylene is very melty, so experiment with low power/high speed settings.
