Mini cnc clamp threads worn down; pops out

Hi @CNCtechs!

I was having some trouble with one of the mini cnc clamps popping out of the T nut and it looks like it might finally be too worn down to function reliably. I think it’s the nut mainly.

I’m unsure if we have spares nuts anywhere. I’ll leave it inside the machine so it doesn’t get lost but heads up to get some replacements!

(we need some of these for the new z-axis clamps we printed anyway? Might be worth getting a handful)

Depending on cost, maybe consider 3D printing, perhaps nylon might be suitable. Threads could either be 3D printed or use inserts (possibly better). Would need a basic CAD file or STL or STEP. That should be easy enough if we get plan view photos and measurements. We could also slightly modify them with a bit of a taper to make them easier to inset into the T slots, which would be nice.

Hi Carlo,

Thanks for raising it. We do have spare nuts in the storage, next time the @CNCtechs are around, can replace it.

Thanks
Federico
