Hi all
Can anyone help me get one of these cooker hood chimneys cut down in length, so that it’s a clean straight cut?
The ceiling in the property is too low so I’ve had to leave the job unfinished
Any suggestions welcome!
Many thanks. Jim

I don’t think there are good ways to do it exactly straight, but it can be done good enough with tin snips or metal nibbler
Thanks. I’m thinking a jigsaw with a fine blade might do it
Jonty got it easily done with a wood support frame and fine blade on a jigsaw
I would also like to cut some thin metal - do I need an induction to use hand tools in the metal shop? It’s only 0.7mm aluminium so some snips or hacksaw and a bit of tidying up with a file should be all I need to do.
No we don’t have inductions for hand tools, just go for it
