Makerspace Christmas Party + Open Evening: Wednesday 16th December

Wednesday 16th December from 19:30 onwards all members are invited for drinks and snacks at Makerspace to celebrate the Christmas holiday and hopefully meet some of those newer members you’ve not yet met.

Also if one or two people could help with organising this that would be great, just getting snacks, drinks and stuff ready.

Please RSVP below:

I’m down for helping with the open day anyway so I’ll be there.

Yep, I’m in.

I can bring a few snacks from my own pocket (the money not the food).

Surprise pocket snacks are the best.

Oh no! It’s the A+E Christmas party that night, and they’re paying my rent at the moment.

I can probably make it there, as school is now out for me until the new year. I can be there pretty early too, to assist with organizing.

@unknowndomain how’s this going?

Are we having any music? Decorations? Anything needs doing? What sort of food?

Yes. It would be good to get help with this if you can.

I am stuck at w work conference today.

I can help out on the evening, but can’t really help with logistics prior to the event, unfortunately, as I am not local to the area.

I was more prompting you to say what you need than offering to help…

I can probably make it a bit earlier on Wednesday. Before then I’ve got a tonne of work to get through…

Might be able to sort out a small amp if we’re having music…

I can bring one of these:

If someone wants to just do a Spotify playlist over bluetooth. It’s reasonably loud but won’t wake up the neighbours.

A nice simple solution

There’s also the full karaoke experience

But a big much to carry in on the train.

@david if you can arrange music that would be awesome.

I will get snacks, @tomnewsom could you send out a reminder email and facebook post?

Can do

I’ll bring the speaker. Anything that plays over bluetooth can join in but I’ll have spotify if someone has some music taste for a playlist

Any neat stuff we can do with the projector? Mapping stuff onto the ceiling, transforming the space?

Could project falling snow onto the tarp?
