I am organising an event called Maker Assembly on Saturday, 24th October from 10:00–17:00 at the V&A as part of the Crafts Council’s, Make:Shift:Do programme.
It’s intended audience is those who want to critically engage in Maker Culture, rather than just the usual talks about how you did your project, or how amazing ________ technology is, etc…
Maker Assembly is a one-day gathering of makers. We’ll be having a critical discussion about maker culture: its meaning, politics, history and future.
If anyone is interested you can sign up here:
p.s. Places are limited so we are asking people pay an upfront deposit of £10 to ensure that attendees turn up, it will be refunded to those who attend.
