Make the space Sunday 24th July

Hello everyone!

Sunday this weekend seems like a good time to get down to the space and get some of the outstanding jobs finished off.

Work this weekend might include:

Finishing off the washroom
Prepping the ply cladding on the south wall for sockets and getting these fitted to the wall
Some plumbing for the temporary Belfast sink in phase 2.
A bit of furniture moving between the snug and the kitchen area
Head scratching
Pointing at palettes of blocks
General tidying

Any more for any more? @Dermot @unknowndomain

Who is in? From 11

I can’t come, but it would be good to get a count of the blockpiles while you’re pointing at them. There’s 140mm and 100mm blocks.

While you’re in the snug, you could put up two banks of the beige metal shelves along the South wall (where the fridge used to be). The three uprights will need to be screwed to the plywood wall cause we’ve run out of the metal sheets.

Definitely. I think it’s great we are seeing more members like you take the bull by the horns! See you Sunday. I’ll try to come earlier.

I’ll be there. Will try and pick up relevant plumbing bits!

Basically 15mm couplers and taps. These would probably benefit from being solvent weld as opposed to push fit maybe?

The solvent weld is only for the non pressurised side. We have ball valves, so could use them? Any 90° 15mm elbows?

The waste will be a faff, largely because its so hard to get the right parts. I’ll look on Saturday.

Be good to layout the kitchen, and have a think about where the water heater should be sited.

Work in washroom: prepare cladding for back/north wall, fit handrails, fit low basin +waste, fit anti-syphon vent…finish floor. Tiny areas of paint to touch up.

And I found a tap! A nice old-fashioned brass with thread for a shower attachment on top.

Oh that’s handy. A shower head is useful for washing down screen prints etc.

It will need to be a power shower, and we’ll need a pressure washer for the emulsion.

Okay. Pressure washers are nice an cheap nowadays. £40 or so. Noisy though. Shower pumps are expensive…but maybe we can fix up an old one?

Yeah, or just find a person who’s taking out an old power shower?

Yeah, I’ll ask my mate, sure to find something suitable.
