Machine Knitted Pouch

Here’s a small drawstring pouch I made for a friend using the Knitmaster 560 knitting machine!

It measures around 15 x 10cm, and is made from 100% cotton yarn (175m/50g).

The cord was braided by hand on a Kumihimo disk, using the same yarn.

The pouch took around 6 hours to complete, after countless hours spent learning and practicing the necessary techniques. It was made from two identical pieces, knit flat and seamed at the edges.

This is a nice beginner’s project, so if anyone wants me to share a pattern or talk them through it, I’d be more than happy to!

That looks great James - I’d love to pick your brain about this at some point. I’ve had a few short goes with the knitting machine but can never get consistency.

I’ve also learnt a new craft - Kumihimo disks. I had not heard pf these and am now down a rabbit hole on YouTube! Great stuff!
