Last friday , at the Retro Gaming Night, I did bring along my 15" CRT TV, it is a nice way to play old video games but my CRT didn’t had a nice life and is a bit beyond recalibration.
So, I was wondering if someone had a 15-20" CRT TV to give away, preferably not black and white…
I will keep an eye out for one .

I was about to ask whether there was anything in the space I can potentially hook an old Atari games console up to test it before I modify it to supply a more useful video format…
So a VHS player or old CRT telly I guess ?
If not… is it a useful thing to have for anyone other than Andrea and I? or just inconvienient clutter?

I wants a framemeister, Wish I was not desitute. 
I recently bought and modded a gbs8200 , the stock version is quite bad but this guy is making a wonderful custom firmware , the recent version , on my lcd display is quite nice , not a FM but for £25 woth of components is a good deal , the problem with this one is that the output is only VGA , so , no TVs and some monitors .
The other alternative is the OSSC wich is more and more interesting , but it doesn’t have composite video in , so , a no go for me

thanks - I don’t actually have the 2600 yet, so this is currently theoretical, but I think it has RF out… which appears to present a few more issues I think?
If I get one I’ll mod it to S-video as I have an S-video monitor, but would want to to check it was working first.
tbh, I can probably buy a CRT for a tenner and just put it back on ebay, was just wondering if there was one in the space already.
Have a look on freecycle, I saw a bunch there , anyway , shout if you need an help with the RF, I did it a couple of time…

I have hooked up my 2600 to an LCD TV via the TV’s RF input. As long as the TV has an analogue receiver, it does not matter whether it is CRT, LCD, LED or Plasma.

ah. I haven’t actually owned an actual TV of my own for about 20 years, so I sort of assumed they didn’t have RF inputs anymore for some reason. ha.

It’s probably of a suitable vintage that it has an analogue receiver. Since the completion of the digital switchover in 2012, I suspect that TV manufacturers might have removed the analogue receiver from TVs sold in this country. The newest TV I have had was made around 2007, though.
i have a super nt which i dont mind occasionally loaning for a game night. hdmi out and beautiful, if snes is your kinda thing.
