I don’t know who chucked it but anyway all legs were broken beyond repair and it had a couple of holes in the bottom…

It had been repaired several times, so perhaps was at end of life.

That could be a sticking point? As we wouldn’t be able to store the cylinders in the space.

Oh, like an oil barrel one?

Yes, like an oil barrel but gas cylinders have a considerably thicker wall so are easier to weld and last longer.
