I know the max size for the cut area in the ‘y’ direction is 432mm, but would a 500mm piece of acrylic fit in the machine if I didn’t want to cut anywhere in the bottom 68mm?

Perhaps I didn’t explain very well - I want to cut some holes in the top part of a 500x500 sheet of acrylic. Will it fit in the machine?
Z axis depth isn’t 500mm that’s for sure. The issue is the weight limit though.

It might just fit if you overlap the top and bottom of the bed, but sounds like someone needs to go measure for you.
Just be careful when focusing as it might get stuck under the front beam.

I too think you may just fit it in. Off the topic but, The new speedy 360 doesn’t have the front cross bar and makes loading so much easier.
