Laser Cutter Challange

I have a quick challenge for the people amongst us who like such things :smile:

I need a very simple holder for our red door tags that is able to be solvent welded to a plastic project box, can hold the tag in a vertical position securely but the tag is still easily removable.
I was thinking a snug pocket where the tag is placed in from the top and will stay there with its own weight until its removed again.

I Think it could be done with two laser cut piece of acrylic but I though it would be good to throw the challenge out there…

What do you think people ?

I really can’t wait to get inducted to the laser!
Just seeing this post makes me want to engrave everything…

This design includes IR emitter/sensor holes to detect tag presence without reading the RFID. Tom L had a particular part in mind, which I had very precise pmeasurements for.

Can re-work to suit 6mm acrylic and remove the sensor holes.

Lol, that’s cheating!

Don’t need the infrared holes, just need to hold the tag flat against the project case.
