Ive remixed a customised cable tie on the Thingiverse to add a label.


I bought some of these recently and thought they were a great idea.
This way you can have the cable tie and label any size you want and reusable.

I built on the original http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:58776
and added the extra dialogues and code to allow a label tab to be added to the original design. Its a paramaterised openscad design that has the parameters in comments at the head of the file that the Thingiverse customizer can read and offer in a dialogue.

Theres real satisfaction publishing something on thingiverse and watching as people around the world add it to their collections or download it to print. All i did was modify someone elses design and add an extra feature but people seem interested in it.

Its a shame there isnt a decent popular alternative without the bad politics surrounding Makerbot.
All the other repositories either dont have the features or the users to make a good alternative.
