I want some help regarding a specific issue with 3D printing.
I was inducted to use the Bambu 3D printers yesterday and tried to print out my designs which were first made on TinkerCAD and saved as STL files. I have the Bambu program at home, and used that to save my designs ready to be sliced and printed. However, I could not print anything due to these issues.
First, my micro SD card couldn’t be read by the printer (I was trying to use the Robert one). It’s a Lenovo one, by the way.
When I transferred my exported and sliced designs to one of the micro SD cards available at the space, the printer said it could not print out that design.
Josh was incredibly nice in trying to help me diagnose the problem by suggesting I change the SD cards, checking if everything was sliced properly, and separating each piece I’m printing into separate objects. However, nothing worked.
I want to ask those who have used TinkerCAD to print onto Bambu where I have gone wrong. Do I save onto a different format like OBJ? Have each piece I print separate? Are the Bambu program and settings I’m using correct? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Josh would be right if the machine profile is incorrect. The file will flat out not be shown on the printer if the machine is mid-matched.
Wouldn’t imagine this is any issue with the file.
On the as card side, the printers tend not to play ball as well if the card has othe files on it and it doesn’t always play well with folder structures. Also the sd card slots on the machines can be a bit flakey sometimes and a bit slow to show up if the card has a lot on it.
I was at the Space yesterday and took on all your suggestions. Aside from a spaghetti fault in the first print, with Max’s help, they all printed out nicely. Thanks everyone!
