@Beth @Mouat any good? Bracket needs to screwed into side of table. It’s daughter balanced…does the 50hz pose a problem @joeatkin2?
OH, that’s a good one. I was thinking about this over the break and realised that a light that was just fixed to the shelf above the bench wouldn’t be that useful, and potentially just cast shadows where you don’t want them.
So I had come to the conclusion that a light mounted on an adjustable arm would be much more suited for this purpose, as then it can be adjusted to suit the angle needed for each piece at the time.
Works for me!
Yep looks good
Cool. Once Joe gives all clear about the 50hz I’ll bring it in.
If it’s got a electronic ballast it will be fine, and it will also need a cover for the bulbs.
I would prefer something a bit tuffer that might last a bit longer, the workshop eats stuff
Bring it in and I will have a look at it
Sorry took a good look at the photos, it’s got a iron ballast, it’s not safe.
I know that I sound like a H&S nutter, but before we did phase 2 I witnessed strobing and the tools really do look as if they are stopped, so I believe that we really should not let any flashing lights in the workshop , one or two would probably be ok but if someone got hurt we would feel a bit shit if it was down to a 20 quid light fitting
No probs worth a shot
Again sorry I don’t like being a cold bucket of water
Many years ago I saw a strobing demo and saw the guy giving the demo manage to forget the light was on and the tool turning. No harm done but everyone involved got a hell of a fright when a chuck key sailed across the workshop!
I have found a industrial work lamp and have put it next to the lathe, if it’s ok I will wire it up , if you guys tell me where you want it
Will put it up temporary if I have time
Fitted tell me if it’s What you want?
Will wire it up when you guys ok it
Thanks Joe!
Bump bump
Is the lamp ok ?
Should I power it ?
Hi I’ll be in Saturday to tidy up snug, wll take a look then…thanks for setting it up.
