Is the sandblasting kit available for use?

Hi,

I have emailed Karen today about joining the makerspace and to access the sandblasting equipment. She suggested i tag the metal techs to check if the blasting kit is available to use and to see if training could be arranged in the coming weeks.

Hi, our sandblaster unit is wired and available for trial use, but requires some tweaks in order to operate it continuously.
Current known issues are:

  • sand tends to collect on the sides instead of going to the gun
  • sand intake getting blocked
  • extraction paper filter getting blocked quickly

Overall, health and safety for the machine is a 10 minute talk, tag metaltechs or message me or @‎VintageSteel and we can arrange the time.
