Hello!
About half a year ago I came to the makerspace a few times to work on this project and although I ended up producing it elsewhere I wanted to share the final piece with you all on here (as some of you asked for updates when it was finished ) . Being at the space was super inspiring and seeing other people work on their own amazing projects really gave me the push I needed to finish this!
You might not see it at first glance but CECE is a clock! Her eyes sit on the spindles of two clock mechanisms (left eye = hours, right eye = minutes) so her expression changes as the time passes. She’s made of three layers of 12mm CNCed plywood, a C-type print, two clock mechanisms and two little 3D printed pieces that the eye prints sit on (thanks again @nhjansen for your help on this!)
(Used this project as an excuse to buy a mini drill press, drool )
If you’re interested you can come see CECE in real life during the Dulwich Artists’ Open House this (May 11/12) and next weekend (May 18/19). Were a 10minute walk from the Makerspace (18 Trinity rise)
