If you’re a coder/developer you can write your own extensions in pyhton or contribute to the whole project in a wide range of ways (writing core code, translating, testing, documenting etc)

Someone needs to check how it plays with Trotec’s Job Control software (we currently have some odd workarounds, let’s work through them)

Yes. Love inkscape. From a complete novice, it’s reasonable easy to get to grips with!

Mmmm very timely. My Adobe renewal is due soon and I was just considering if I can live without it.
Premiere is now basically unusuable for me, so moving to Davinci Resolve for film work. That leaves Photoshop, illustrator and lightroom.
I might bite the bullet. I really dislike subscription software as a concept…

The Affinity products are good. I ditched Adobe because of the licensing and use Photo and Designer now. Fine for my mostly basic needs. I keep giving Inkscape a chance and would love it be good but my experience of it is not at all great… Have had the beta of 1.1 for a while on the mac and it does seem to be an improvement.

I wasn’t aware of the Affinity stuff. Good to have them in the background in case I can’t get with the Inkscape! I’ve used GIMP on and off for years and seem to remember that being pretty good…
