Hi @woodtechs, would it be possible to get a hand held router and joining machine induction over the next week please? Times are pretty flexible for me I can make most times work

No worries! Unfortunately no experience with either just watching videos of people using them.
Is there any other way of me getting inducted before the 28th? I’ve got a week off work where I was hoping to spend the week in the makerspace
Go ahead and read the router manual (the one with a lot of pics) linked at the bottom of the tool page (physical copy in the sharpening drawer by the miter saw), it’s a great resource for understanding all the attachments and their proper use. If you have headphones and WhatsApp we can do a video call.
The planer is a bit more unforgiving and finicky, more so for a first time user, I’d like someone to be there in person to sign you off on that. The blades will need to be changed on it as well, which I’m planning on doing when I get back. There are prior wood techs who have the ability to sign you off if they’re present and willing, just ask around next time you’re in

Don’t worry about the planar for now I can manage my project without it I think. Let me know when it is a good time to call, I read the manuals a while back before you inducted me on the table saw, but I will refresh my knowledge. Thanks again!

I wasn’t planning to be but I can if you are around. About 50mins away for me though so depends what time you are thinking?
