How to attach metal rake head to wooden pole

Welcome advice…initally thought drilling hole and glueing it. Whats the best glue in the space to use for fixing wood to metal?

Brass collar is other option, but the P&P on for a single collar is a pain!

Drill a hole in the end of the dowel, and a hole through the metal pole, put the metal in the wood and use a screw or nail to hold it in place.

The metal rake goes into a hole in one end of the wooden pole…correct?.. where does a dowel come into it?

Polyurethane foamy glue will bond to metal

The collar is probably the better option though

Have a look at jimmy diresta’s channel, he’s done lots of tool refurbs like old axes and stuff
