Hot stapler gun (plastic)

Hi all,

Is there a hot stapler gun currently in the space? Are there rules on the type of plastic it can be possibly used for?

I have an extremely simple project to carry out, trying to mend the handle of a food processor jug (this one: https://www.sos-parts.com/blender-bowl-bowl-mixer-blender-braun-7322010424-16890.html?srsltid=AfmBOooOXqQJDVuHWVWQMw0lCea_bfNZKx0kmzr4YPvjUQTgETF68dBu) but cannot get to the bottom of what plastic it is made of.

Any alternative suggestion on how to tackle this is welcome!

I would guess it’s polycarbonate.

Polycarbonate is unlikely due to its dubious food safety reputation. SAN (Styrene Acrylonitrile) is most likely. Polystyrene solvent cement might work, given the chemical similarity.
