Help with vacuum (Dyson) repair

Probably a long shot, but my Dyson V15 isn’t working properly anymore (it briefly attempts to start and then stops).

After doing some research online, it seems this is a common issue with the main control board, often fixable by replacing one or more of the capacitors (specifically, the larger ones, which often swell).

I’m a complete newbie in electronics and wouldn’t know how to safely diagnose the board or properly solder/replace the capacitors.

I was wondering if someone from electronics would be keen to help me attempt this repair. I’m happy to buy the new components and just need guidance on the process. I’d love to learn how to do it correctly!

Thanks in advance for any advice or help!

Ours did the same, but it would eventually run, especially without the brush bar attached. It was saying low battery.

Turned out that the issue was that the battery prefers to be on charge all the time, rather than left off charge until it’s empty.

The solution was to calibrate the battery by charging it to 100% then running it out.
