Help! Electronics needs more storage and a new workstation, 3D modelling needed

The electronics area is disappearing under a pile of stuff and we desperately need more storage. We also need another workbench.

I’m looking for volunteers to make another workstation like the ones we have.

We also need two more shelves above the current workbenches and the new workbench.

Ideally, I’d like someone to volunteer to lead, I’m happy to arrange materials etc.

Would love to get this done, perhaps with a little advice from Joe/Mark as to how best to go about extending the design upwards with a few more shelves on top.

Hi Gem and Riggerz :smiley: I have measured the space to the wall and I would suggest you do two more benches (they will fit nicely ) and also the bike chest will fit as well , I have a few thoughts on the design to make it look much nicer and user friendly . Keep well . Brian D=

Could we get some full height storage as well rather than just bench space?

Currently we’ve got a lot of bench space that’s being used (inefficiently) as storage since it’s designed for work room not storing stuff- would be good to have some space that’s just for storage to free up the workspace we’ve already got

Yes, definitely

Full height is difficult with a curved wall.

The plan includes shelving above the current and new bench(es), at least one and probably two shelves.

Did you guys come up with the blueprint for the new benches? It would be great if there were more 24" deep shelves above their table level( can be on the side).

Also, can we have another half depth shelf 40cm below the top of the current soldering bench, for the basic scope and power supply?

This is moving forward.

We’ve come to an agreement with the @BikeTechs, the new bench will now include a bike workshop mount and will enhance both areas.

The next step is to create a 3d design that can be used to generate the files for the big CNC to cut the pieces.

Is there anyone that can help with this?

I’ve used freecad in the past, I’m a bit rusty but am happy to have a go at it if no-one else can help.
