HI All
I have left a few pieces of hard wood behind the wood lathe if anyone would like to use it. Please just post pics on here if you do use it for anything interesting
speaking of which, I’m ripping out my kitchen, right now - there’s a bunch of (sort of hard) wood tops going begging that look a little like this.
Let’s also be aware of the risk of leaving stuff on the space that might be useful to others – this can very easily lead to hoarding.
Check with the @woodtechs and see what they think
I’ve got some projects lined up j could use both your bits of leftover wood for…saw mule, horse and small table tops. I can store it at home, won’t clog up the space.
Now that’s efficient recycling!
I’ll be in the space in an hour to pick up! Hey presto!
yes I thought this was the case so I ran it past Joe first, he said hard wood would be useful for someone.
dont just hoard them at home like I have been doing for a year haha, I hope to see some photos of them being put to good use soon ![]()
Haha I used to suffer from Hoard Fever as well. But I saw a Tree Surgeon and he cured me.
(For the record lots of she tree surgeons out there too!)
Thanks! Picked up last night…really nice pieces. Will keep you posted with pics. First have to figure out how to drill large table leg holes at an angle!
The woodshop pillar drill has a bed that tilts - that might do what you need! The trick is getting it level again afterwards. Which I need to make sure is in the induction notes. I’m sure a woodtech would be happy to help you…
Are all these pieces now gone? I’m after a piece to make a cheese board…
I installed oak worktops at the last job I worked on, I’ll see if any is left over and can bring back for you
Hi Jonathan, would one of the longer trips work, a long cheeseboard? I can drop one off
