Activity

  • Hand held drilling of material and screw driving using battery powered Combi Drill into various materials such as plastic, wood, metal, ceramic and walls (inc: plasterboard, MDF, concrete or block work).

Procedure

  • Perform a visual inspection of drill and any bits being used for for physical damage.
  • Tie back or remove loose clothing.
  • Tie up long hair.
  • Remove jewellery.
  • Large drill bits, paddle bits, forstner bits, and hole saws require two handed operation in case the bit binds in the material.
  • Wear eye protection if there is a risk of ejected material getting in your eyes, such as working above your head, or with your face close to the work.
  • Keep hands away from rotating parts.
  • If battery is low or depleted swap battery with a charged one.
  • Do not touch the bit immediately after operation as it will be extremely hot.
  • Put the tool away.
  • Tidy up your working area.
