Hi Everyone,
I thought I’d let you know about the Hackoustic Festival, a one-day festival of hacked musical instruments and sound that I’m organising at Machines Room next Saturday the 23rd July. We’ve got a ton of different projects, installations, instruments and performances during the day followed by an evening gig headlined by Leafcutter John and Lady Hackspace. There’ll also be a performance by one of Imogen Heap’s collaborators on her amazing Mi.mu gloves along with much more.
There are a few early bird tickets left for the evening, plenty of day tickets and a limited number of whole festival passes left, so do get in quick if you fancy coming to the whole shebang! Tickets available here.
I hope you don’t mind my posting this here! I’ve been a member of SLMS a good while now although haven’t really had a chance to get down properly yet. Hackoustic is a group that I run at the London Hackspace. It’s a sound and instrument hacking group that meets twice a month for presentations/demonstrations and hacking.
I notice that there’s now a noise making group here which there wasn’t last time I checked … hopefully see you there soon, though I’m nearly always teaching Tuesday night which is a bit frustrating!
All the best,
Tim
