Greasy Hands Preachers documentary showing
Cool looks good, I’ll try and make it
A couple of key people can’t mske it along so I’m going to propose Friday 10th November.
Post a yay if you can make it…
To make this official – and fair to other members – can someone post a proposal about using the space for this on that date and time. As long as there are no objections it can then go in the calendar.
YAYYYYY!
Put it in the calendar!
Sorry I have been carried away by more important stuff
I’m a bit confused because this thread seems to be a proposal @dermot?
not sure what else we require?
From the replies it seems to be a few people coming to watch something on the TV.
I’ve added this post anyway:
Thanks. Yes, if we’re planning anything we know will occupy an area of the space for a meaningful amount of time it’s a courtesy to let other members know. For events putting up a proposal is best practice as it usually changes the use of an area.
Can’t see why anyone would object to this event.
Yay for tomorrow 10th NOv. Is this going to happen?
I am gonna say yes, there is another topic where it’s seems like it’s all go!
So I have the documentary on my Vimeo account, is it going to be alright hook a laptop up to the projector? And has anyone got a laptop…?
Remember it’s tonight!!!
Yeah projector could be good.
I’m gonna try get there about 7.
Film start around 9.
Personally I think we should try to at least hook it up to stereo for good sound.
Any one want to come and see film about motor bikes the love of the build and the wide open road and the friendships made…come tonight at 9
I will bring laptop, which has HDMI connection - does the big TV have HDMI input. I will bring spare HDMI cable, plus 3.5 stereo jack -> phono cable. Does stereo system have photo (RCA) inputs free?
Yes, both big TV and projector have HDMI
I think we had a great night all in all.
Excellent movie choice @Robert_Kiggins
And maker themed a bonus.
Great set up with the projector and the hifi for AudiO.
Feedback was very positive and the appetite was there to do it again.
A great Friday night!
Thanks everyone for coming.
Spotted this film: Why We Ride
“WINNER - Best Documentary -Motorcycle Film Festival 2013 – An inspiring adventure into the world of motorcycling, told by the famous racers, passionate riders and everyday families who live each day to the fullest on their two-wheeled machines.”
Nice one! Looks good.
Procedure says we need to:
Post it as s new thread. As a proposal. We can then discuss who wants to come, dates, times and blah blah.
Another good option would be BalvenieUS: Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain which are 15min videos on different “Raw Craft/makers”. They are free to watch on their YouTube Channel and their are currently 14 episodes.
