Hi @PhilH, we have a granite surface plate, not sure which is bigger or in better condition.
I would say bring it in so we can compare.
At the very least, if your friend is looking to just get rid of it I would happily take it off his hands.

I live in Wallington and I have a car, so if it makes it easier I can pick it up if it’s in a 20 miles radius!
