I am sanding and varnishing some floorboards and using satin clear floor varnish. After a couple hands I’m wondering if gloss would have been prettier.
Someone then pointed out that gloss tends to be slippery when wet.
Any advice of varnish finish pros and cons?
We got some clear floor-grade varnish from toolstation which was quite good and low toxicity.
I’ve just looked and unfortunately they don’t do it anymore but they have some alternatives.
I’ll get the name of the one we used if there’s an old tin hanging around somewhere.
