Will try to get them up today.
Finish the Space weekend Sat 19th March edition
I’ll be over this afternoon for an hour or so and will finish the wood shop lights etc + help with the wires on the wet side gantries too…
Courty
At B&Q getting insulation.
Be there in about 25 mins
Let there be light !!! Good amount of light for the space, feels about right for a machine shop…
Courty
Great!!!
And I have seen that it is good
Good days progress, Courty did great work on the lights and wires and the likes.
The days of knocking over temporary light stands are drawing to a close.
Dermot ploughed ahead with the memorial arch, I worked on the other side adding insulation.
It is close enough to being done I think, maybe another two days, not including remaining windows and doors.
Joe /Andrew/Stefano made good progress on lighting gantries for dirty side.
A potential new member Ed turned up and got involved, Ana dropped by too, and Stefano, Andrew and Joe were still working when I left. We had Eve helping as well, a ptotential new member in fourteen years, although her work was inhibited by having to look after her Dad.
I would like to thank
Andrew, Dermot, Joe, Stefano, Ana, Courty, Ed and Eve for the good work they did, and as always the quality chat we have when we work.
Holy S%$T, brain freeze, forgot Barnaby who I was helping to do the phase two side of the Dermot Jones memorial Wall of diminshing Freedoms.
I’d like to thank Barnaby too
Inches?! In my Makerspace?!
Srsly tho, superb job everyone
Great job all.
I came by post gig at about 10pm, and made grumpy noises whilst the rest of the insulation went in the wall, and the first and a bit skins of pb went on. We all left about 2.
So excited, we’re getting so close to a usable space!
Photos aer already looking out of date , good job everybody
Extraordinary progress…
Really is the home stretch!
Apologies for sloping off 7 hours before work finished…? After doing about 7 hours myself…
Just goes to highlight what a huge amount of time and effort is going into all this construction.
And there aren’t many ‘thank yous’ flying around… Well: who would be thanking who? We’re all doing it for ourselves and the greater goal of having a fantastic Makerspace.
So…we will need to find a way to celebrate all this work…various suggestions came up before…let’s see.
Beer
