Film festival Christmas 2017

I know I know, it is only September and I have mentioned Christmas again!

But Annie and Karen who arrange the film festival apologised for missing us out this year (someone was supposed to come in and see us)

And they want us to have a showing 1st or2nd week in December.

They asked for suggestions for films either Christmas or anti Christmas tied in to something we do at the space.

Die hard Was mentioned!

So please

Let’s do it. It was a shame what happened this year, especially as our screening of Ex Machina last year was seen as a highlight of the festival — we heard that back from some of the organisers.

Is it meant to have a Christmas theme? If not there’s a thread with many excellent film suggestions in it. I’ll dig it out when I’m at a bigger screen.

EDIT: the answer to my question is in the OP. D’oh!

Home Alone
Gremlins

We could recreate some of the home alone booby traps for added excitement.

Sorry, been a long month/year…

Obviously die hard.

Home alone definitely embodies the maker spirit at christmas

Italian job? Original, obviously. Sort of makery, bit of a Christmas tradition. And I think the final scene is quite a good metaphor for most of my projects…

And particularly any ideas of how we can add a Makerspace twist to whatever we choose…

Tim allen as Santa?

Kind of Makerspacey by typecast?
