If the surface can be kept a consistent distance away from the nozzle, yes
In either a flat or rotary-attachment scenario, I’d be wary of getting the nozzle snagged on a protuding bit of tree. Have you got a photo of the tree in question?
I’d make sure it was very well planed first, or it’ll be pretty tricky to get focused consistently.
Also, the usual warnings about test cuts, checking the lens and watching for dirty nastiness
