When you get back, I’ve set up a replica of the emf2024 Wi-Fi at Makerspace so the badges can connect easily without changing SSIDs.

Be sure to check out Lucas’ Badge Pixel’ animation app for the badge

Nuclear material left in “Swap Shop” at UK Hacker camp emfcamp

fyi for the folks from SLMS at the camp, from my understanding, its sealed and contained but if anybody picked one of these up at the swap shop, probably best to return it!

I have, really impressive, by far the best app on there, uploaded the Picard Face Palm meme, but it’s a bit slow to animate.

My Matrix app had some fonts problem but it’s working now, press enter while in for extra pride.

I really enjoyed my stay in the SLMS encampment at EMF. It was a social hotspot with so many people attracted by the free breakfast. Thanks @Dermot for making it happen!

Once again; was at EMF but was so busy (and including in the mornings when you guys were doing your breakfasts) that I never, once, stopped by the village.
Colour me embarrassed!
@emuboy … didn’t realise that the matrix app was by you! Well done!

Is there any interest in doing some post-EMF badge “stuff” at the makerspace? I have my lovely badge, but I’m woefully uninformed on how to make it do things… it would be great to learn from those who are way more clever than me :smiley_cat:

I’m still experimenting with it, maybe we can do a micropython workshop?

That would be really good. Whilst I’ve done plenty of development using other environments and stacks previously, I’ve not coded in micropython, and I’ve also never done any kind of dev board development - so figuring out how to interact with the badge’s hardware, how the plugin doodaa work, and so on - that would be really interesting.

If you use Thonny you can easily transfer files and execute code with it, extremely usefull

I also found a bounch of usefull resources here: https://github.com/mcauser/awesome-micropython

I could be up for that. I hadn’t used micro python before either, but I’ve been making a kind of etch a sketch.
