I’ve been told I can only bring a vehicle on site on Wednesday

I have confirmed with hibby and crpyt who are the village team leads:

  • You must ask for permission to arrive on Wednesday, you can’t just turn up as the event is not open. This can be done by the village owner.
  • You can arrive Thursday to Monday but it might be busy and there’s a limit on how many cars and volunteers there are to walk things through.
  • You can only drive on the roads, not the grass, you must leave to park in the car park as soon as possible after.
  • The high-vis volunteer must stay with the vehicle at all times.

Hibby confirmed that Rich has already gotten permission coming on site Wednesday.

I’ll be on site DECT: 8086 if I can help at all, but we may have to wait

If we’re doing breakfast we can put it in the schedule if you can let me know what you plan to do, others are doing breakfast for £1 not far from us.

Thanks - who is that? (I can look it up when I get home)

I can’t see a marker for us on this map?

Hibby is saying that unnamed village are predicting 900m2 which is more than the entire main stage (2/3rds the width of that patch, 1/3rd the length) - which means everyone who’s planning to be located in section F up there is going to get a rude awakening and need to move as theres far too many villages there.

I’ve moved us preemptively to section F preemptively.

Wow!

Looks like tea and coffee…so still.a.space the market if we want to fill it

Totally, and we could move further up the field next to the workshop tent if that would make better sense of the offer, not sure what others think?

EDIT: We’re not actually that far away anyway so we could probably just exchange details with each other.

Do you want me to add something to the schedule so it’s public?

Yeah, that figure’s been mentioned but it’s ridiculous.

Ridiculous in the sense that we in no way need 900m²

I’m sad you’re not longer our neighbours. I might have to make my own breakfast.

If there’s a budget proposal and a plan of who is doing what, the directors would approve this in line with what we’ve done in the past.

I won’t have time to organise the breakfast club at EMF as I will support the bar, but I presume Dermot is offering?

I’m planning on supporting the bar too but probably from the other side.

Thanks,

Yes, I’m happy to put time into Maker Breakfast

I’ll have a think about budget - it won’t be much (£50 or so)

It would be great to have a group of us to share the load on this: setting up and tidying up each morning mainly…and of course chatting to our new friends)

We’ll also need.to borrow (with dirs permission, and if no one objects):

  • a couple of folding plastic tables (do we have some spare?)
  • cutlery and crockery (partly the reason we had so much was we bought gear for precious Maker breakfasts), do we have enough to spare for a week?
  • maybe some chairs?
  • Makerspace flag or sign (flag is probably long gone, is the original wooden sign available?)
  • EDIT: we also need a Toaster (!)

Who’s in the best position to know if we have all the above?

I’ll bring a lightweight (rain resistant).gazebo

I can pick stuff up on Tuesday evening (and also anything anyone wants me to take for them as I’ve hired a Transit sized van)

I’m very jealous of that.

We should set up a private leader board when this goes live - https://gchq.net/

Now I I’m wondering if I should have ordered a badge (I got one for Lucas)
