Hi guys sorry I could not make it down last week for multiple reasons How ever I will be there tomorrow.
I wont be much help to any construction going on other that mental support as I’ve had a procedure done on my shoulder. @andrew_d are you going to be in and heading a construction crew?
I believe @joeatkin2 will not be in this week as he is only back Friday
I will be looking into the electronics that are currently in the space or helping out where I possible can with construction.
My health takes priority so I will not be doing anything that will hurt my shoulder just before Trustees Anyone starts screaming H&S regulations.
Electronics Night Thursday meet up 26/11/2015
I am coming back to London tomorrow (work commitments)so hopefully will be in .
I’m hoping to make it, but probably a bit later.
I don’t know about leading construction activities. I was just volunteering if others were interested, as completing the footing before Sunday is a high priority. Joe and Dermot: if you are there on Thursday evening are you interested in working on the footing for the wall?
We can do this in an hour if the materials are there, mixer or not.
I have a meeting in Paddington but should be there by 8.
I do see @peter_hellyer is down on Friday
Staying a little late this evening at work due to certain people not managing there time well :rage anyway I’ll be in when I can
Hi Andrew,
The meeting was longer than expected.
Sorry, won’t be able to make it tonight.
Hope you had a good night.
The formers for the footer have probably got to be recut so that the top surface is level with the intended top of the footing. Have you inspected them yet?
Not had a chance. But the top level isn’t essential…it could have made an easy level to work off.
We’ll work everything out on the first two courses: the gaps for ventilation will all need to be bridged by blocks, so there’ll be potentially a few block to cut. So we might have to ignore the bond (the way the vertical joints line up) between first two courses.
I thought the plan was to use a dangling stick from phase one to get the levels right? the top doesn’t have to be totally smooth, just level enough and at a near enough height that all the block work isn’t all to crazy.
Yep, pete gets it. +/- 10mm is fine. The idea is that two courses (220mm) and ~7mm padding go under the 18mm OSB deck at the doorways = 245mm.
A spirit level with one end on the phase 1 floor, with a 245mm stick under it. Heck doesn’t even have to be a spirit level if it’s nice and straight, with most of it on the upper floor.
