Electronics Night 4th May 2017

hey all,

i’m new here and not yet a member - popped along to the open evening this evening and met Tom along with others. he mentioned that there is an electronics meetup most thursdays and i should check on here if anyone is planning on heading in tomorrow? it would be great to get a bit more of a feel for the place before i take the plunge.

i would like to build a few things, but these are main things, probably in this order:

  1. torrent box that is like a personal spotify using raspberry pi - that also pays artists.
  2. chocolate mould in the shape of a vinyl record
  3. ‘philips lumie’ style alarm clock, again using raspberry pi

I’ll pop down at around 8pm anyhow - space is only <10 mins walk from home so can do it the old fashioned way and see myself if someone’s in!

Hi there, like Charlie, I was at the intro evening and would like to pop in on an electronics night.
I do things with Raspberry Pi and have a futuristic/retro Sony Hugo that doesn’t power up. Probably simple for an electronics savvy person but I don’t know where to start.
