Electronics night 18/02/2016

Hi everyone electronics night this evening. I believe the main focus will be making the space, but if you bring electronic projects to do I won’t stop you.

I think there is a contingent on emergency Membership system works too tonight.

Thanks for owning this again.

Hi there, thought I’d make tonight my first visit since becoming a member. Can’t help with the node.js but happy to help out with the floor, will also bring some electronics of course!

I’m not sure if my membership is official yet as I only registered Saturday but would it be possible to get a fob if it is? What time will people be down there?

Ta, Jacob

Yes, come down membership usually takes place after 1 week. Don’t think getting a fob will work until you are on the system but since we having so much trouble with node.js you probably would not be anyway after a week :stuck_out_tongue:

@Marco_Pagliari Sorry couldn’t get over tonight, work getting in the way of play :frowning:
Hopefully normal service will be resumed next week

Courty

We didn’t do much electronics tonight, but lots of electrics and flooring done. With @Courty and @stefanoromano’s help.

Then Joe popped in and they were able to get the floor down:

Also the TV went on a proper wall mount:

The big issue @tomnewsom and @dermot is we’ve almost run out of wood, there isn’t enough, apparently we need 5 more (@joeatkin2 @stefanoromano is that correct?)

Well done. Sorry I could not make it last night.

Super productive couple of days!

Daytime shift yesterday… Sarah and I got the water level out and set up string lines all round. Time consuming, but made the rest of the days work much simpler.

Then…
Paul rejigged the concrete shuttering, Barnaby got the floor plates measured and cut, Josef and his friend Sam mixed up concrete and poured the last footings.

Then various combinations of us mixed mortar, fitted damp proof course, stacked up spacers and laid the floor plates (using a kind of double ended crucifix-like jig). Later Christian came along and brought some fresh energy just at the right point, along with another friend of Josef’s, who I think was called Nonu? He’s and architect, and responsible for signing off on a 1mm in 4500 mm inaccuracy that crept in at one point…

We were out of puff but managed to get all the plates down. Then Paul and I moved as many blocks as we could…

Ready for the nightshift…

Day shift did a fantastic job

I can pick up some 4.8m 6x2 timber tomorrow morning.

We’ll need a proper delivery to get materials for the partition most likely.

I can stick only about 300kg on my roof rack

We could get the sole plate, top plate ,and 4 studs, then we could do the setting out wich is the part that takes the time .
And a bit for the door hedder

Can do. What floor timbers are still needed?

I think 5 bits should do it

Probably best from the same yard so the size matches

I’ll make sure it’s not bigger! 145mm I recall?
