Hi All, I’m away in sunny France for the next couple of weeks. Is anyone going to be about for Electonics night tomorrow?

Have a small component to solder, how difficult to use hot air gun for first time?

There’s a knack to it… Small amount of paste and bring the heat up slowly especially while the paste sets (before it melts into solder). There’s an old board and some caps on the top of the draws. Have a practice first on those…

And there’s always good old a soldering iron and tweezers.

I have got some 40/60 tin /lead solder on the van . Should make it easier if you go down that road
