While drum sanding today, Mr. Joe stopped by telling he had a couple of hatched coupling for the extraction, I actually seen around for a while. With a bit of work we fitted those in, which is a nicer way to open and close the extraction on that machine.
I then asked advice for changing the sanding strip on the drum, as the installed one was heavily burnt.
He kindly told me how to do it, and now it’s all up an running again, for all @Wood-drumsander-user .

Using this thread to slightly hijack with a drum sander question!
I’m planning on using the drum sander soon to repurpose some old oak kitchen worktops. I suspect that it may clog up the sandpaper, given it had previously been finished with linseed oil. Could someone point me to where I could buy a new roll, so that I can replace once I’m done?

Id suggest to plane these first with handplane to get rid of the cured layer
