Door entry system validator with ESP8266 12 goodnes

Been playing with the ESP8266 nodemcu, lcd’s and rfid readers.
With the Arduino ide and libraries that have been adapted for the ESP8266 wifi boards.
Reusing the code weve put together for the door entry system.

Heres a RFID tag reader and verifier as a proof of concept.

It reads the card and verifies it against the members database to see if it matches a members id.
Then displays the result on the LCD.

This could be very useful for future tool control based on the rfid tokens as we have been discussing.

Ill bring it all along on Thursdays uMeet.

Looks great, is it any faster?

Yes. Seems so.

I had to use the “door” id device id.
Maybe a t"est" id would be useful.

Or if this could be useful for admin of rfid cards.
I could box it up and put it on the wall
It just needs a 5v usb supply.

The nodemcu version of the ESP826 I used is about a tenner but has the usb to serial adapter, 5v and 3.3v regulators and all the pins broken out n8cely.
Cheaper than a clone arduino and ethernet board.
