Donation: three wall-wart power supplies

Hi @electrotechs,

I found three wall wart AC adapters today, all 110 - 240 v:

  1. 12v 2 amp (center positive). No idea what it came from.

  2. 5v 300mA, looks like an old mobile phone charging plug on the end.

  3. 12v 1200mA from an old D-Link WiFi router

Don’t know if anyone can use these, I left them on the second shelf up from the floor underneath the Mac in the electronic area. I will throw them away if nobody has a use for them, but you never know.

The 5v is pretty useless nowadays but the 12v are always useful, thanks for that!

I was thinking about using the 5v for DC supply for Arduino etc. but never got around to it.

Fair enough

5V not so good for Arduino because it has a voltage regulator but for NeoPixels.

The cheap as chips ATMEGA328 Nano boards have a regulator, but the USB power feed bypasses this so they’re happy to work from a 5V adaptor. http://actrl.cz/blog/wp-content/uploads/nano_ch340_schematics-rev1.pdf
