I think that might be fun. We’d need a lot of people to make it work though.
Or we could do what we ended up doing for the Christmas fair - run an open day at the space on those two days and maybe hand out flyers near the park gates.
It’s a great event & Herne Hill will be really busy all weekend.
Agreed, felt this worked quite well before, but getting the footfall is crucial. There’s only a limited number of things we could do with a stall, but we can show off all of our toys in the space (which will also be totally showroom ready by then!)
I would be careful about opening for the Country Show because there will be over 150,000 people coming and getting drunk with Canopy next door, it is liable to be a large crowd of people possible drunk and it might be hard to manage tours, theft and safety to be honest.
I would recommend the Show. I’ve run a marquee there before - fantastic way to meet people. If I wasn’t going to be on holiday I’d help on the day. Lots of fun. We could ask people to sign up for a show round on another day (to avoid the concerns re drunks and overcrowding!). Would probably really increase membership. A marquee maybe hard to borrow and too much organisation but is an opportunity to do a clean activity with people. But a stall with a decent photoboard would involve less work and still be worth doing.
We really should, but like Dermot I have approaching zero availability. A bit like Arduino day, I should be able to chip in here and there, but can’t be counted on to be there during the day.
