Similar microscopes seem to be going for ~£3,000 elsewhere.
Leica are one of the manufacturers of the microscope, so that is probably why it looks like it has a Leica camera body. However, the manual suggests that part is called a film changing cassette, and comes with the scope, so might not be identical to a consumer film camera of a similar vintage. It would appear to have an arc lamp inside it as well.
It looks like that quality of kit , often manufacturers don’t make their own camera bodies and just use a lica , i don’t know why they always go for the most expensive body on the market but it just seems the way
Probably not but if if it’s not used for a year we can sell it and buy a vacuum former , i agree it’s way to good , mine is a toy is comparison and only gets used once in a blue moon
I’m a bit more convinved this might be more effort than it’s worth. It’d be a cool toy to have, but the binding agreement to decontaminate and clean and stuff is a little concerning.
