With over 600 members we are now exceeding our outside bin limits .
It is Monday morning and this is what the bin looks like. It was the same last week and the week before.
In the workshop we have two options:-
we can either purchase more giant bags to store the waste from chippings, dust from extractors and scrap wood.
Not sure where we will store these safely until the bin is emptied on Thursday morning. And then the build up will likely fill the bin again before the weekend.
Or we can take off line all power tools that make dust until Thursday .
After speaking to @platinumnqueen22 there are 7 internal bins in arch 1 that are emptied at least twice a week. And with the amount that the woodshop is being used now we cannot cope with the bin capacity
Can we order another outside bin collection please before we have to shut the workshop for half the week @directors ?
I mean it would still be an improvement but I think we’d struggle slightly.
Monday and Wednesday is a slightly odd spacing (given that bins are taken out on Sunday and Monday by Brian). The weekend is arguably when we generate most of the waste too - runs the risk of an overflowing bin on Mondays and then a mostly empty one on Wednesday.
If they could do Monday and Thursday or something similarly spaced out that might work very well.
You’re right sorry - got confused between putting them out on Wednesday and then being collected on Thursday.
Two collections is certainly an improvement but I agree with Mark that the better solution is one collection of two bins. I’ll take what we can get tbh.
