i’m looking at building a battery pack for an electric longboard using 18650 cells, and it’s recommended to join those using nickel strips spot welded. Does anyone know if we have one in the space, or access to one?

alternatively, does anyone know of somewhere that would be able to spot weld for me? Is there a tool purchase proposal system?
London Hackspace have the necessary kit, I believe - though it’s not an area I know anything about. You could put a message on their mailing list, as someone might help a fellow maker - I imagine bribery with a go on the longboard would be effective…
It can be done with a big soldering iron and solder braid if you can’t get a spot welder

I was wanting to make a spot welder. From what I have read, it is not very difficult.
