Do we have any tailor's hams in the Makerspace?

I’ve been making an effort to press seams while making garments, and it absolutely does make them hang better, but for sleeves things it would be great if we had some Tailor’s Hams. Do we have any?

Good point - we do not have one. I use one at home all the time for pressing seams and they make a big difference. I’ll price at least one out and add to the next shop.

We could always make some though - I’m sure there’s somewhere we can get sawdust…?! https://www.twigandtale.com/blogs/twig-and-tale-blog/how-to-make-your-own-tailors-ham-free-pattern

Could be next month’s textile night?

Sawdust? We don’t make sawdust in the makerspace!
( The cnc extractor is almost full and I 'll empty it tomorrow. Do you want me to put the bag aside?)

Great I 'll leave the bag ( well wrapped) under the textile table.
Let me know if it’s ok or you prefer somewhere else

That sound good! Thanks

I forgot to mention before… But you want to use appropriate masks for the dust when you fill the cushions.

If you think that sawdust is finer than it should, we can make shaving from the wood lathe

@tracy I’m going to replace those 2 bags with sawdust from the woodlathe as ( my fault… I did forget about it) the sawdust from the cnc it’s a mix of wood and mdf and various materials… So not great to breath…
