Freecycle?

Worth a try. Always best if they can be used rather than dumped

Dermot, you’re into recycling big time so much that I am even more aware than I usually am about putting things into the right bins! I totally agree with you that’s it’s very important.

I know MakerSpace is busy and things like furniture need to move quick, that’s how it is when moving and growing forward, I get that but I would rather take the desks to my house and Freecycle them than they be scrapped. You know what I mean.

We can use my Freecycle account if you like. There is also the British Heart Foundation on Acre Lane or Emmaus in West Norwood who will collect and find good homes for everything they are donated.

They’re proper good tables, someone needs them

Too much fire Peter, all that plastic veneer will have the council round in minutes :grinning:

Totally agree Courty, gotta go soon, clutter rutter. Let’s Freecycle them or donate them. Those desks must cost at least a couple or more hundred fresh off the market. They’re well designed. Someone will love them …

They’ve been modified by us.

Hi Tom, don’t think the modification matters, they’re still basic tables, well they look like basic tables.

I wonder if any of the arches can make use of them, that’d be so handy!

I mean they are a bit knackered as a result, the legs stick out forward of the table, and the edges keep coming off.

Heehee, that’s some kinda modification. I’ll check with the local arches, specially the garage might like them.

We have 3 desks to get rid of (might as well go all the way!).

Jackie would be great if you cab sort this.

yep, will do.

Jeffrey from the fabrication arch a couple of doors down says he might take all 3 tables, he’ll let me know tomorrow evening, I’ll give him bell then …

Nice work!

Jeffrey’s friend wants to view the tables - not tonight though there’s too much snow! He’s organising a time with him to see them tomorrow.

If this doesn’t work out - Freecycle / Emmaus / British Heart Foundation will be organised on Monday next week.

Dear all,

I cleared the 2 tables to free them for recycling. I only realised today that the tables have been left in the space on the ‘emergency exit’ run. I fully apologise for this, am distraught actually, totally unacceptable and irresponsible.

The things on them are still there in the same space without the tables, sorry guys n gals, there’s a bit of filing to be done when you get a half hour or so.

Jeffrey’s friend found them to be too big for him to take, so tomorrow they go to all offers.

Gone to all offers, fingers crossed there’s good takers!

If BHF (British Heart Foundation) want them, they can’t collect until next Tues.

So, that’s a good cut-off date, Tues 24th

We looked today and realised that we could do with clearing all 4!
