My question is: how do we make that ply not look like temporary hoarding? Or is it ‘the look’ we need?

my mate reckons stencils! As in black stencils of the Makerspace logo.
Ideas to avoid (Trying to be funny):
- Rag rolling
- Stipple brushing
- Pebble dashing
- Picture rails
Actually have a look at “plywood stencils” on google images:

There’s some good looking examples. We could make stencils on the laser cutter. Massive ones. Get some one-off freaking art up. Maybe get someone arty from the community involved.
Or siloettes of members (a members wall). Or something.
But I think we should leave the finish as it is.
