Cutting Mat

I found the pictured mat behind the computer in the textiles corner. For those that don’t neccesary use it the importance of it sitting flat on a table top is to keep it flat. This mat is now pretty much ruined. If the mat is in the way of your making maybe an option is to move it to the table with computer on a arm. But it shouldn’t be stood against a wall as it will cause it to curl out of shap.

Any tricks to get this flat again anyone?

There’s no way I’ve ever found to get that back flat in years of students at universities doing that.

Heat it up and then press it flat under something heavy?

At current ambient temperatures, I think that a lump of 18mm ply would suffice.

If only we had some spare sheets of 18mm ply!
