See the complete list of courses

In this hands-on and beginner-oriented course, you will learn how to use TouchDesigner to create projection-mapped surfaces. TouchDesigner is a node-based visual programming platform for creating real-time, interactive multimedia content.

With TouchDesigner, you can create a 3D banana that wiggles to the beat of a song, or project a basketball onto a wall in your room and make it bounce around your picture frames. And one million other things! This course will teach you the absolute basics to get you started and provide a hands-on guide for setting up projection mapping with projectors in the Makerspace.

You’ll learn:

  • The basics of using Touchdesigner and its node-based interface
  • How to use projection mapping for turning real world objects into display surfaces with projectors
  • Get pointers for further learning
