Coffee tamper

I have recently been working on a gift for my dad - a coffee tamper with a turned wood handle and stainless steel body.

The handle isn’t completely straight and the diameter of the tamper ended up ever so slightly lower than I intended, but it came out pretty well!

I finished the handle with hardwax oil then a clearcoat.

The handle is teak wood, the base is 303 stainless steel, and the decorative ring is turned down from an old bit of plumbing pipe.
